Billionaire art collector Liu Yiqian paid $170.4m for Amadeo Modigliani's "Nu Couche" on Monday.

The article claims he would have earned enough frequent flyer points for 1000 round trip first class flights between Beijing and New York. :shock:

Anyone have the AMEX Centurion Card? I wonder if there was a 2% service charge?!

You would imagine that he'd have to come to some arrangement with Christie's on the AMEX merchant fee, but they wouldn't be paying 2%...that's full retail.

Dunno, but they are actually on a payment plan of X a month over 12-24 months. So it's not as huge a hit to the CC.
