Best seats economy A380?

Thank you serfty! This is helpful. Will stick with 66G and follow up on my experience after the flight -- in case others have the same concern re: bathroom odors, etc.

when do you fly? I have 66D and E booked for our upcoming trip and am concerned hubby won't have enough room to stretch out as as he is 192cm. I would be very interested in hearing about your experience.

I have the option between 33A/B and 48A. I don't think I'll like 32A/B as I can't put my feet straight other than putting them on the bulkhead (which I don't think is too polite to others! ) Thoughts as to what I should pick? Plenty of reviews on the upper deck but I've never been on an exit row on a QF A380. Does it get cold like some other planes?

I just wonder whether being able to stretch your legs all the way under the seat in front of you prevents feet swelling up.

Of course if you have 33K it's always possible that 32K will recline into you (I didn't) but you can always recline knowing that nobody is right behind you.

I recall the only time I had a bulkhead seat was on AA and it was really awkward cause I generally always put my feet under the chair infront of me or allow the window slits or the isles but luckily that was a short flight. I'm not sure how I'll do on a 14h flight back to SYD! I'm around 6' (184). The legroom would be great from the exit row but having a quite cabin up top is fairly enticing!

My partner and I were lucky to get seats 52D,E on QF11 SYD - LAX which are bulk head with a bassinet. Had the row of 4 seats to ourselves. I asked at check-in if there were any bulkhead seats available and were given these. My partner falls asleep before the plane has taken off (lucky her) but I enjoyed the extra legroom and no seat in-front to recline throughout the flight and was able to get a couple of hours sleep. Another point for flights with QF on the A380. There is a self-serve snack bar back down the very back which also has 3 toilets. Very few people used these toilets on our flight and it was a nice walk to the back, use the facilities and walk back with a tim tam or two and a can of drink.

I believe 66D/E/F/G have at least 4" more leg room than any other economy bulkhead seat on this configuration.

I am 6"2' and found the leg room to be ample. More about not having a seat in front that may recline.

About 165cm or 5' 5" so not super tall.

I'm 5"8 with long legs (longer than most taller men) and I found it fine. Shove a pillow in the pocket and rest your feet on it.

Seat 66D - Qantas A380

Hi All

First time forum post and new member.

My questions relates to seat 66D on the Qantas A380. I have seen mixed reports about this seat. SeatGuru marked it green/yellow and said there is extra leg room but I saw somewhere else that this isn't the case because it's close to the bulk head in front.

Has anyone actually sat in this seat? Does it provide extra leg room or doesn't?

Just shows how much room there is (although people will only get through if those seated row 66 PAX allow).

Row 66 has more leg room than any other economy cabin bulkhead seat - I am thinking by at least 10cm.

That amazes me. To me that space is for legs, not for people to cut through, and I havent seen anyone do it, although mostly people who sit there seem to dump their stuff on the floor.

Cheers, just had a look and there's no seats available in upstairs economy unfortunately.
Might just wait till 24 hrs pre flight to check-in and see if any more seats become available.
I've read that can happen, because of FF passengers or something.

Hi, I have travelled in seat 66E and the space was more than sufficient. I took along a cabin sized suitcase and used this as a footrest, this made the seat very comfortable. I found no other passengers trying to pass through this area. I only found disturbance (very limited) from the cabin crew going through the door to their rest area which is located at the side of the bulkhead wall at seat 66G. Unless you can get a seat in the upper deck area do not hesitate to sit at 66D in my opinion.
