Best seats economy A380?

IMO 35J/K are the pick....DEF are great for leg room, but I noted some passengers tripping over the extended legs of seated passengers in DEF whilst walking to the lav.

Great rare pics of the new Y upper deck cabin!

The leg room in row 35 looks great (even DEF). I'm traveling in 35F in a little over two weeks (35J/K are blocked) and I share the same fear of being tripped over by other pax walking by. However my theory is that PE pax wouldn't be using the single Y toilet, and so given it's such a small Y cabin, this hopefully won't be too much of a problem with what looks like great leg room in your pictures.

White Socks are the answer to being tripped over!

(Trust me, it normally works)

$640 is correct. It 2 x 2 x the $160 exit seat fee. (As is $80 is 2 x 2 x $20 seat selection fee for non elites.)

i booked a flight over xmas mel>lax and booked a povo seat in row 59 ... thought i'd just log in and look at the seat plan and to my surprise 2x exit seats available in row 48... nice to upgrade but geez, $180 a seat? they dont miss you!

naturally i sucked it up and paid for it lol

edit: actually i just snagged 35E/F giddy up !! :D

32K with a WP shadow is very nice, not sure I like the refurb, cabin baggage stowage space is at a premium given the number of exit and bulkhead seats. The service is also interesting with Y being served before Y+, had a light Y load so toilets were not busy and it was an easy trip down the stairs to the refreshment bar.

Should also be noted the armrest in 32J/K can be moved, not in the middle row 32 options, power socket is in the middle of both seats.

I sat near there on a US trip late last year, the flight was completely full for us but it didn't feel too cramped or overwhelming. It was nice sitting in a two seat section with my partner.

I forgot to go to the refreshment bar since being on a refurbed A380. How many of them are there now for Y? And what sort of snacks do they supply? We're heading to the US again next week so planning to be downstairs this time amongst the masses of Y.

I was wondering if people who have travelled in this cabin have noticed how the wall behind seats 33A-B and J-K affects the recline?

The refreshment bar was at the bottom of the stairs, and had cookies and cake from memory, pretty average.

It looks terrible! (to me...)

So many times these types of seats are considered 'extra leg room', but for persons like me (nearly 6' 3") they are often a terrible choice! Unless the 'extra leg room' is at least the amount of leg room you'd get in a regular seat... but it rarely is!

No recline is the advantage and I'm not disagreeing with that. But these seats can be terrible for really tall people. I'll put up with a recline if there is somewhere to comfortably put my legs!

I agree with you Austman, but for the opposite reason. Being 5', I hate sitting behind a bulkhead or an exit row cause my feet don't touch the ground.

3 hours into a long haul flight, and I reckon many Vertically enhanced AFFers would envy that problem!
