Thanks to Nigelinoz on twitter for this little gem, sounds better than a reported experience by a passenger on an asian airline when he asked where the safety briefing was, only to be told "we crash you die"!

British Airways is now offering a 4 hour course where people can be taught the secrets to surviving a plane crash.

Experts claim that it is usually possible to survive a plane crash, and the course aims to educate people about the reasons people often don’t escape, and teach them skills to avoid such a situation.
Most of the so-called ‘skills’ are based on logic, such as not panicking, making sure you evacuate the aircraft quickly and following instructions from crew members.

Why wouldn't they just put a video of it on the inflight entertainment system so people could watch it if interested or it suddenly became desireable to know this stuff, insted of charging for it??? Although i guess 4 hours is a bit long, you could cut it down to much less than that i would imagine...

Have you seen the 'Come fly with me' skit where Omar Ba Ba demonstrates the procedure for buying a lfe vest and whistle in the event of a crash........the vest deflates after 20 min, then you can repurchase!!

No but i did see a Jimmy Connolly (is that how its spelt, his name has suddenly deserted me) skit and he was talking about the use of life vests when the plane smacks into the ground like a ******* dart... Then in years to come when people dig it up they will think they all died in a river rafting accident... Or it went something along those lines...

And i was thinking there must be a happy medium somewhere between "We crash you die" and 4 hours to tell you not to panic and to follow instructions from the flight attendants...
