This not helping. ALH is constantly at me to go to Adelaide for wine and food.
I will need to buy another Vintec fridge at this rate. Mind you what better status run could there be?

Okay, GPH has piqued my curiosity. Checking with Mrs QF WP, diaries and flights before committing, but I'd be in for the Grange tasting.

Oh the logistics :eek:

Babysitters - sorted
Kennels - sorted
Flights - sorted
Accom - sorted

We're there.

Only fly in the ointment is needing to fly home on Sunday night - 6:30pm VA flight. Hopefully we can bring our bags (1 bag + camera bag/tripod + handbag + FF bag) on the coach with us.

But we've left another trip early to do the same thing (Perth)

Plenty of room on the coach. There are only 25 PAX and I have organised a 48 seater coach :mrgreen:

Not promised but trying to snag one with a loo and PA system, which could be dangerous.
 
Tickets booked - Mrs QF WP will just need some company in the Penfolds tasting room whilst I do the Grange tasting.

Attendees may want to make use of my cellar door membership - discounts to you and wine will be shipped to your address. I'm sure Buzzard probably has one as well...

You'd better update the list Buzzard - we're Platinum :D. Mrs QF WP positively squealed down the phone when I asked her did she want a weekend away (I think that was her idea of a "yes"). She wants to use her new iPad, lens and tripod

Sorry QF WP but I have not checked the booking engine to confirm if/how many Grange options you have purchased so have left that bit out. I do assume by your post though, that Grange is on the menu :p

Just need to get some more Adelaidians cracking as we are now outnumbered :oops:

Grange would be lost on her.

Likewise, will be good to match the face and voice to the online presence :D
 
We'll also need to be on a flight home Sunday night.

Will the 19:45 QF flight be late enough? Or should we be looking at the 20:40 VA flight?
 
As I know GPH and ALH are coming from Brisbane and others will be interested in knowing, our itinerary is:

Fri 8 Aug 6:45pm VA1404 BNE/ADL [3D & 3E] (arrive 9:35pm) - paid flights, but do love Family Pooling
Accom both nights - Hilton Adelaide (burned some HH points)
Sun 10 Aug 6:30pm VA1405 ADL/BNE [2A & 2C], burnt some VA points

We're going to do some touristy things on Saturday (involving lots of photos from Mrs QF WP, so will make sure I get to the Adelaide Oval). Keen on Sat night dinner with other attendees.

Not booked the flights yet but we will likely be there from Sat afternoon until Mon morning.

We're not booked flight wise at this stage.
ALH is in the south island on some R&R. I suspect we too will be going down Friday , but likely to be early, there is some shopping she needs to do !
We may camp with rellies and hire a car.
