Just wondering what sort of socket is it, in other words do I need to buy an adaptor from them or is it a standard power point used somewhere in the world?

They use a standard empower adapter. Your best bet is to purchase one before you go

Trying to access your favourite Australian websites when overseas only to discover they have been geo-blocked? Concerned about your internet privacy especially when using unsecured wifi? NordVPN will solve both these common problems.

Try the kensington 120W adapter (subject to correct smarttip availability of course).
