Hey guys

I am very sure this must have been asked before but this is the first time I have ever redeemed any seats. I got the First/Suites seats (very excited!) and was wondering if it came with any lounge access or anything else?

Thanks

You will have access to the highest available SQ lounge in your departure airport. If SIN then TPR* is waiting.

*The Private Room

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Amazing! Makes me kinda wish I hadn't been so economical with my choices... my layovers in Singapore are quite short. :(

Still. Very very excited! June '16 can't come soon enough!

SYD-SIN-HKG on SQ right? If you are holding SQ R/Suites Gold BP or F/First Maroon BP you can access the F section of SKL in SYD prior to departure and as JT has mentioned you can access The Private Room (TPR) in SIN on arrival and prior to your dep to HKG.

Dont be backward in asking for your personalised hand written gold invitation to TPR when you check in in SYD - staff are supposed to issue one to you unprompted but are somewhat slack at this - so make sure you ask - they are fabulous souvenir.

Enjoy the TPR - you will be amazed at level of service afforded to you there.

Yes, that's right. SYD to SIN to HKG to SIN to SYD. All on SQ.

The trips from HK to Japan I'll need to arrange separately as I can't redeem them through SQ.

Thanks Cruiser! Will definitely make sure to ask for all my freebies! I must enjoy - I may never have the opportunity to do it again. Haha.

I've had a look at my tickets again. On my way to SIN from SYD, I could only get First as they're not flying A380s - do I still get access to the TPR if it's not a Suites booking?

Any other tips?

YES Cerca R = Suites and F = First - both qualify for entry into TPR - you will be fine - enjoy and pls report back.

Last question Cruiser - what does this mean? What does Gold BP and Maroon BP mean?

R = Suites = Gold BP / F = First = Maroon BP - both will get you into TPR - just don't wave them above your head saying 'Look at me - look at me' - that'll keep poor ol' MEL up all night!

Isn't that what you do when running around Melbourne :p

I can't guarantee I won't - it's six months away and I am already super excited. I haven't been on a holiday in almost two years... and certainly never flown First Class. Highest I've been has been Business.

:D

That's okay. We also have our first SQ F/R booking for June. Excited is an understatement.

Well done. They have exactly the same privileges as paid for first class seats in my experience.

I want to know if anyone has first hand experience on this.

I got a SFO-HKG-SIN ticket that arrives 11am in F

I'm going to book another SIN-PER ticket in J as I don't have enough points to do the entire SFO-HKG-SIN-PER flight, the SIN-PER flight leaves 930am the following day(<24 hour transit), can I get access to TPR?

I read on FT that it's allowed just want to see if anyone has done it?

I don't know necessarily if you will have PR room access given separate tickets and an almost 24 hour layover. If you had your connecting boarding pass you could certainly use TPR on arrival (present both boarding passes), but next day? I can't seem to find a specific answer to your particular situation. Do you hasve a link to FT?

TPR Access certainly permitted on arrival in certain circumstances like awaiting hotel availability / awaiting onward flight - but 24hrs / next day would certainly be stretching the friendship - you can always try but be prepared to be knocked back.
