Award Seat - Lounge Access

I kind of have two unrelated questions -

1. The booking name I have doesn't include my middle name which appears on my passport - all other details are correct - will this be a problem? I think when I redeemed the flight, they just used my KF membership details.

2. Have you guys ever had a situation where you could find a flight on third party sites but not on the airline's site themselves? For example - on various third party sites I was able to find a Tokyo to Macau direct flight with Air Macau but when I went onto Air Macau's website I couldn't even find a starting destination in Tokyo to even do a search. Any thoughts on how to get around this?

Thanks

1. No issue in most cases; your passport number should be linked to your KF anyway.
2. One possibility is that (online) travel agents have their separate allocations from the airline. Could possibly be an IT issue or an issue of old cache for flight search sites.

Might be point-of-sale restrictions of some type. I can't even access the Air Macau website ATM - gives me a 505 error message.

however - Air Macau Japan has its own site, with Tokyo and Osaka as the two starting points for Macau. Interestingly when you click 'book' the following pop-up appears:

Macau Airlines online booking is the arrangement and ticketing at the World Travel Systems Corporation.
Click the "Next" button below it if you want, please proceed to the next screen.

So dunno if that is to limit sales only via that agent in Japan.

I never enter a middle name. Just adds to the things that can go wrong.

Had a combination of flights the other week that I couldn't force on the QF website, so ended up booking via expedia.

Thanks guys - I ended up booking for a flight to Hong Kong - bigger hub and more flights. I'll just ferry it from Hong Kong to Macau.

On the subject of my SIN flights though... I also had to make some alterations to my itinerary so my stopovers at Changi are only 1.5 hours or so... enough time to maybe dash into TPR, shower and dash back out. HAHA.

I just wanted to bump this thread...my flight is not far off and I am super super excited.

Any changes to Singapore First/Suites or the lounges in Sydney, Singapore or Hong Kong that I should be aware of? Any more tips so I can maximise the experience on these flights?

:)
