I guess I'm not prepared just yet to forget the history when covid patients were allowed to exercise in public
Well that is your privilege to do so.
Mistakes happen as in SA where when well after the matter you raise a 20 year female
"visits" (indoor exercise one presumes ) with SA Essential worker who was meant to be in isolation, contracts CV19 from him and then spreads it out into the community.
So I guess you must not forget that either, nor the SA CHO who apologised for the several mistakes made early in that outbreak. Slow testing, incorrect advice to the hotel concerned, etc
I would assume and hope that both states CHO's have learnt from their mistakes and have amended what they do in terms what is happening now.
In terms of quarantine, from what Weimar has discussed this week they have ramped and tightened things up considerably. But even NZ with their multiple hotel quarantine breaches recently shows that negative things can still happen.
Case numbers are still headed in the right direction though in Vic and so they must be doing at least some things ok now one assumes.
and recent communication issues that still seem to have potential repercussions.
Has there been an update on the boy actually infecting anyone?
The second EPIC case was a parent with as yet no link to the boy. The other EPIC cases have not been said to be linked to the boy, but have not been said to not to be either. However all EPIC cases where I have seen a link attributed, have not been to the boy. Several parents are infected and so far that is presumably outside of EPIC. Several more students infected. At least Epic student was attributed to be from their mother who also infected the Croxton school student who was also her child, plus the father.
