The number of these nursing home patients is very small and a tiny number of the cohort currently in hospital.No. Not wrong, sorry. Numerous vaccinated and asymptomatic nursing home patients have been admitted to hospital in NSW to remove them from their aged care facilities.
NSW Health does not and has never used the hospital system to preemptively admit Covid-19 cases unlike other jurisdictions (QLD etc).
Parts of the Health response in NSW are currently under significant strain and will continue to be so until this outbreak is curtailed.
