That is the million dollar question. I have two kids aged under 18. One has an expired British passport, the other has never held one as we just haven't got around to it. Both I and her Mum are dual nationals with current UK passports.I expect they haven't even considered the issue of kids or adults who had citizenship by descent. Australia as birth place on the passport likely enough.
Final step, delivery of my original birth cert, photocopies of aus passport and my UK passport that expired 25 years, now with the corner cut offExpress post 29 Jan

Thankfully it's paywalled. Seems like the dream of every Brit living here is to go home to visit someone about to cark it.And another sob story.
I suspect hasn't done her homework properly

Dream? And when you say Brit do you include Australian citizens that were born here? What an odd (even offensive) statement.Seems like the dream of every Brit living here is to go home to visit someone about to cark it.
I would not be sweating this. Turn up with your AU passport and valid ETASo everyone im uk bound with ETAs for me and 2 kids on 20 march. All technically uk citizens by decent... what to do !!! Just turn up and pray they dont figure it out .. uk website still saying eta is valid
Trying not too but im travelling with their very British dad who thankfully has an up to date passport. I've told the kids he is now their step dadI would not be sweating this. Turn up with your AU passport and valid ETA
OK. Much/long anticipated trip of a lifetime then. Just making the observation that every article on this matter appears to involve the same "victim". If I was trying to be offensive, I'd have questioned why the journos don't ask why there are so many sick people in Britain.Dream? And when you say Brit do you include Australian citizens that were born here? What an odd (even offensive) statement.
