It's quite bizarre isn't it. In a move designed to 'protect' British borders, the main citizen group they've inconvenienced the most are British citizens.

Maybe so, but they (the Govt) don't care (baby out with the bath water), as the only thing they want to do is show how tough they are on immigration. Just look at the opinion polls over there and you'll get a feel for what's going on.
