I clearly remember my aunt letting me in on that secret, as she lived in karratha and they always book a one way award in the max distance bracket that was actually a Round Australia flight. It wasn't long after being told about this that qf change the award points required or the calculation method. I believe the chnage happened about 3 months before I had enough points to go around Australia... :( lol

I travelled on the 11000 km 37,500 point (Business class) journey several times in the late 90's.

On one of these I went PER-ASP-DRW (146's) ...
