ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Thanks for sharing. Shame was looking to make a big payment well in excess of $10k better than nothing but prob not worth the effort :(

That's cool - it is what it is. Sounded otherwise too good to be true. Something is better than nothing in this space now.

@JessicaTam very funny....Our family really did some business on this ATO thread but now we seem to travel from the bedroom to the kitchen rather than to the world. Yes we have had our two shots. Our sons are flying more than us.....
We were lucky to get two long weekends in Sydney in the last 3 months.
Yes we just did BPay for our ATO in July and August....such a shame.
Pass the tub of Costco Kirkland chocolate macadamias and i can dream about what used to be.......

It's clearly keeping you up at night, too!

That’s what happened to me. Beem support said they’ve de linked eftpos from their cards which is why Macquarie cards don’t work.

is amex with yakpay or sniip still the go for full points?

Noticed this on amex site
You will earn 1 point per dollar spent with Merchants classified as 'government', including the Australian Taxation Office, the Australian Postal Corporation (Australia Post), Federal/State and Local Government bodies, including where you use a payment account, payment aggregator, services of a third party or online retailers that sell goods for another merchant.

Hey Cove,
You‘re not using Sniip? Amex fee of 1.5%. They pay the Bpay for you. Full points are awarded!
No worse than what we used to do with The Retired Westpac Kris Flyer Platinum Amex
Cheers,
Mitch

@Mitch_W we have too many point/miles at the moment.
Have a new card to test for our company.
Still waiting for a thank you from the ATO…..
We are wanting to go SQ Suites to LHR but the Emperor may not let us come back to WA.

@cove. Don’t hold your breath for an ATO thank you!
What is the new card you are testing?
Yes, WA is very COVID strict. You may have to just stay on in the Old Dart.
SQ Suites are now a distant memory but they were awesome! Maybe someday……

Today I received a shiny new AMEX Corporate Platinum card @Mitch_W
Lots of paperwork that has frightened off some of my business colleagues.
3 Points per dollar on Qantas.
400,000 points sign up with $15,000 spending in 3 months.
100,000 points for successful referrals.
Have to ask about ATO....
Should I wait for a thank you??
