ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I am thinking all NAB CCs are a zero now for ATO just like Citibank in Australia. Citi US still pays but you now get about 0.72 AA miles for the 0.42% (due to the exchange rate). An AA Mile is worth about 2 QF points.
Can someone confirm that NAB is gone totally?

That's my understanding. This from my March statements:

(sorry for poor quality).

Thanks davel and kevrosmith for confirming National Australia Bank has no CC that works for ATO points earning.

Citibank Prestige is paying the best on that one bbqwer but the annual fee and income requirement can be barriers.

Minimum Income Requirement$150,000
Annual fee $700 :(

Im using ANZ rewards black due to free first annual fee :) BAS and ATO payment as well. My WBC altitude black + AMEX PE = enough annual fee for me :D

You would need to have substantial expenses to pay plus the qualifying income to be attracted to Citi Prestige. The 1.33 points earn versus 0.5 or 0.666 on other MC or V cards you mentioned can be attractive.

The unlimited priority pass, golf (won't be worth anything to some, granted), airport transfers alone make it quite worthwhile to me, before the extra points even comes into it.

Is there an up to date definitive list of ATO spend cards on the forum anywhere? I've done a quick search and found nothing but maybe I'm overlooking something?

davel because there are hundreds of cards issued by banks it is easier to work the other way and name what cards you have or are considering to get. Changes are occurring regularly so something said at the start of this thread about 6 years ago may have changed. Also you can get caught on capped cards where you exceed the points capped amount.
If in doubt try doing a tester.
I can tell you Citibank and NAB seem to pay zero today.
Westpac Black reduced the earn so the points earn on their Amex cost almost 2 cents each and direct Amex cards have some cards where the cost is 2.9 cents each that should be avoided under most circumstances.

I use the Woolworths Qantas Card....1:1 to $ 2,500 then 1 point per $ 2:00.
I try and ONLY use it for tax to get to use the full $ 2,500 @ 1:1. Bit of a pain with the dilution but I think better value than using an Amex card IMHO.

Does anyone know if Virgin Flyer/high flyer gets points on ATO? Or is it hit and miss depending on whether the amount is "flagged" by them? Virgin cards are managed by Citibank, so I'm not sure on this one, would appreciate some advice thanks.

benhadi you won't fly high with anything managed, issued or controlled by Citibank in Australia in respect of ATO as they will charge 0.42% for zero points each time.
Qantas Credit Union Credit Card allows ATO up to $10,000 per day limit. Their application may test you so you will need to be tenacious. You may qualify for 30,000 points over 6 months at 5,000 per month if you follow the rules. The annual cost is $195. Also there are bonuses on Qantas purchases.

Thanks cove much appreciated. I have a Westpac Business Plat combo (Amex and visa) which earns 0.5 points fee dollar for ATO, which translates to 0.25 FF points per dollar spent. Which is pittance considering the surcharge remains the same.

Does anyone know if you get points on ato spend from the Westpac business rewards aquire card?
its normally only .66 points per dollar anyway, but ill only be doing a very small ato spend
on my small sole trader

Thanks for that cove.

I am probably being ignorant as how to often changes are made and how much effort would be required to keep something like that up to date so it was just wishful thinking...
