Throw a mall stone into a pond and the ripples go on forever! A bit like any AFF post which often go beyond the original premise (not totally this one). I love it!šŸ˜

Came back from a couple of months in Europe in late June and after weeks of great food and a great trip on Emirates bus class, the toasted ham cheese and tomato at Sydney Qantas lounge was a thing of beauty.

Much like myself. Not sure about the toastie in SYD INT F lounge!

Toasted sandwiches in the lounge,it's a race to the bottom.
There was a time when such food stuffs were not considered as fit for a reputable lounge. And , you have to join a queue!
If desperate and stuck in the lounge for while I will admit to odd tasted cheese and pineapple
I was in the REX lounge recently at lunch time and they had freshly made, individually wrapped chicken schnitzel, roast beef and salad sandwiches .Yes, no queue, toasting optional.

i have seen chips in the QC, never in the J lounges. Obviously too infra dig for J class people.

And here I am remembering my travel in the 90's as a guest of my father with a comprehensive buffet selection in the Ansett and Qantas lounges.
