After having the pleasure of meeting a lot of people from FT (most of whom also post here) like Dave Noble, IainF, AnderB, Press Photog, bravoecho1, Willyroo, Craigo, Alan in CBR, Kiwi Flyer, og, thadocta, ozstamps, etc, I'd consider them friends now.

No, but I do frequent a few internet forums for drummers, and aside from extraordinarily bad language, there is also a lot of bad spelling and "leet speak". After reading for a while it begins to rub off!

I wasn't having a go at you JohnK - just poking fun at myself for spelling (spleling) badly and then for being cough enough to have to correct myself. My wife thinks I have a mild case of OCD. I just call it "a touch of the Seinfelds".

JohnK, if you give it (and you'll have to admit you do dole it out), then you have to expect to get it (and accept it from others as they accept it from you). Being able to laugh at one's own foibles is important in life, IMHO.

I am the first that would poke fun at myself.

I decided a long time ago that I don't care what people (who haven't met me), think of me. It just words (sticks and stones...). But once people know me, then they can make an informed decision.

I do care what people think of me, it is just sometimes things I say/write come out, or are interpreted, the wrong way. I don't mean to intentionally hurt anyone. I think I pretty much know you from your posts and the plan as it stands is we will meet for a drink in BNE airport on Boxing Day.

The inaugural AGM, spoken of in the past tense but 2 months away. There is a bit of "Back to the Future" involved here.

IIRC, it was also the date of AGM #2. The coming 24th Feb is a Wednesday. Perhaps around the weekend before?

We have certainly done that a few times before, so it would be an honour to have an EAGM at a time suitable to Kiwi Flyer. If enough regulars are available, we may even make it very extraordinary and meet someplace different as some of us did a few months back.
