Of course, stupid Kumara- New Zealand’s equivalent to pumpkin or sweet potato which is just as disgusting 🤢 makes a double appearance…
Kumara is Sweet Potato.

I quite like it and I wip up roasted Kumara mash from time to time. Quite good for you, with a low GI. Does it have some sort coriander affect on you also?

Edit: mind you, I wasn’t a fan of white sweet potato growing up as a kid….

One man’s meat Kumara is another man’s poison šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

The menu appears to have plenty other options.

[PS: Butternut pumpkin soup is favourite with most of my circle]

Ah! That explains my extreme dislike- learnt something. I had never come across the term until I lived in New Zealand and just like pumkin or sweet potato, hated it with a passion throughout my 3 or so years there.

Now, NZ lamb and beef are a very different story :p

However, not all pumpkin tastes the same. šŸ˜‰

How about butternut (squash), often called pumpkin in NZ? Probably not ā€˜technically’ a pumpkin. No good either?

It’s a pumpkin here too.

A pumpkin is a type of squash, so the differences in terminology throughout the English speaking world are very vague.

I’m more of a Kent guy myself.
