If you really weren't one of the targeted customers and/or didn't apply via the correct link, what are your concerns?

I didn't apply for this offer. But if it was targeted to specific people then I would have to accept that I could not benefit from such an offer if I was not one of those targeted people.

Did you keep a screen shot of the T&C'S? I applied via the link here (I was not invited or on any list) and received the points promptly. I did check that the link went to a page with matching T&C's.

Good luck, but based on the response you got from ANZ, it does seem you do not have a case as there were 3 factors they mention.
Given so many people have received their points, it doesn't seem like they have gone out of their way to deny you.

Ill just use the flight and cancel card.

can't be bothered point chasing when cough like this happens
have to jump thru hoops to get the damn card in the first place

I did not get an invite just used link on here. Applied in early November 16 and after making the req'd spend, was paid the bonus on 26 Nov.

It looks like the ANZ answered that in the letter they wrote you, they said you didnt apply using the the correct link. I know I did becuase it showed me the T&C for the 60000pts and I kept a copy of that,

As others have said, you need to always keep a screen shots of what you applied for. A sad lesson to learn. However, as is seems that we here did not get a personal invite, you are the the one having been caught out. How long ago did you apply?

I just called up ANZ as I received nothing over the weekend. I was bounced through a couple of different people before speaking to someone who knew what I was talking about. (everyone else kept trying to palm me off to the rewards centre)

I was greeted with "Ah yes, we've been waiting for you to call us" - even though I've spoken to someone from ANZ 3 times in the last fortnight and sent them something via Secure Mail.

Anyway, Velocity # is added now and I was told points should be added "soon" - department name I spoke to was 'Credit Card Solutions' in case anyone else keeps ending up in circles!

Appears there are benefits to the ANZ disorganisation... called up to cancel today, consultant immediately offered to credit the balance of my annual fee to my QFF black. Yup, despite me receiving the points, the lounge passes and using the free flight! :shock:

Clock starts today to apply for this one again!

I got my 60k points today, about 14 days after I got my velocity number into the right departments hands. but i only went through secure mail.

Applied in February. Chasing points. Just got told on the phone I wasn't targetted and thus not eligible. I applied through the link at the start of the thread. Does someone have a screen shot of the T&C's they could send through to me? I have a screenshot of the offer but note it has the number '2' referencing the T&C's. Would like to see what it says to state my case. Arguing it is false advertising, I shouldn't have been able to apply through the link or should have asked to enter velocity number to determine eligibility.

I also applied in February, but I am pretty sure I did not use the link at the start of this thread, but I used the one from Ozbargain website, as best I understand it, that was a new offer, albeit the same one.

I think you can put 2 and 2 together the earlier offer was targeted, the 2nd was not.

I applied on 13 Feb. Already held an ANZ Black FF card. I used the link on the website. Second statement received yesterday and today I received an SMS requesting my Velocity number. Very happy.

I just hope they don't do their best to taint your happiness like they have for me! I have now called up at least three times, the last included a reference number for a formal complaint, and then today (nearly a month later) I got yet another text message out of the blue requesting my velocity number again! That makes it a couple of sms's now and an email! I am happy by the idea of the bonus points, not by how they are going about giving them to me!!
