Just had another call with my 'friends' at ANZ today. Next promise is that it's a fairly quick process to fix up and there is a known issue where velocity numbers are dropping off the system! Maybe they dropped into the previous posters account so that they got my points on top of theirs!

Anyone experience this ? Checked my velocity account today , I have been rewarded 60,000 points twice ( 30 March and 11 April ).

I just rang ANZ to complain that I didnt get the 60,000 points twice. They said they would be looking into it.

If you were not entitled to it I hope that you were joking as all that would most likely happen is that it would make them look for those who wrongly got two sets of points.


This is why I never post when banks or others award me "extra" points from time to time including only a few months back.

One of my daughters was just emailed a personalised 60k offer from velocity. Unfortunately being a student her income is too low to get it.

Finally received the 60k points last Friday without having to call. Applied on 17/1 so just inside 90 days.


I added my Velocity number via the rewards website back when I received the card.

Hows this for a coincidence. I got a phone call today from the complaints dept (I might have gone a bit postal on the secure emails, because the staff dont read questions and reply with a template, that always gives me tourettes) Then he said he wanted to check my Velocity number because the team were having trouble logging into my Velocity account to transfer the 60000 points.

I accidentally told him I already got the 60000 pts about 3 weeks ago. Damn my integrity.

The other weird thing is, the velocity account number he had is correct.

He is looking into it.

92 days since hitting qualifying spend and still no points as promised. Called ANZ and they said I would be contacted by rewards department within 48 hrs.
