"ANZ AMEX" Platinum Credit Card.
Is the PDS for the free Travel Insurance the same as the AMEX Platinum CC (ie: is it on AMEX website or ANZ site).

No! The Charge card insurance has better benefits.

Just had a (small) win.

I use a money clip.

Generally, my Visa has historically been my most used card (I only want to carry one CC, Amex isn't accepted everywhere)[Now, I carry both as my money clip has expanded in size through use]). My Visa is therefore very scratched up, the signature completely disappeared, theres no way anyone in the world could read the security code all the plastic has started to peel off most of the edges. There isn't a scratch of silver left on any of the numbers on the front of the card. Etc.

I was 'worried' ANZ would charge me to replace it (BankSA did when my GF lost my EFTPOS card)...

Instead, I just rang up ANZ and asked for a Visa paywave to replace my Visa. Two days later, brand new Visa, with the exact same numbers / PIN /expiry arrives, completely free (and, obviously, with paywave technology). Win, win, win.

Sure, only a minor win, and I may have got the card replaced for free anyway??... but, it's the small things in life :)

I love my ANZ amex with 1.5 points. Any transaction at a woolworths associated brand also carries additional points if you use the everyday rewards cards, so you're getting extra points on your grocery and other purchases. Slowly working my way toward another Vegas trip :)

My ANZ FF Gold is about to run out (5 months).

I really dislike the idea of switching to the dual Amex/Visa situation, mainly because I get the impression you pay more to use Amex and it's not widely accepted. Is this still the case?

I'm thinking of switching to the Everyday Rewards card for 1:1 QFF earning.

Yes, no, maybe..... but, effectively no.

As you are aware, you get both the Amex/Visa.... then you can choose when to use the Visa, and when to use the Amex. If Amex is not accepted, or 'you pay more to use it'... then just use the Visa. There's a bunch of different systems out there for the ANZ cards, but I get an extra 0.5 points with Amex... I'll use it whenever it costs the same as the Visa! Having a bank issued Amex is also (occasionally) useful. EG: I purchased 4 GOld Class tickets for $39 delivered, because I had a bank issued Amex.

This *may* be the best idea for you, it may not be. Depending on lots of things, esp. your earn rate, and what your earn rate for your gold ANZ amex would be.

Are there any differences in an ANZ platinum QF frequnt flyer card, and a NAB QF Frequnt flyer platinum one card?
I'm looking at junking the NAB one, and just going with the ANZ one.
I can't see a lot of difference - they both give you visa and amex, both offer travel insurance, but I have a feeling the NAB card does not give 1.5x FF points on qantas.
