Four weeks should be enough time to get from CHC to AKL. Unless of course you are really hung over.Unfortunately current plans have me (Covid, borders, lack of quarantine etc. allowing) in AKL about 4 weeks later (though no way will I book this without some certainty - too much disappointment already). That renders this dinner as unlikely but I won't rule it out. As with AKL, I'm not booking anything till there is reasonable certainty.
