Sounds like misinformation on their end.

It'll be 3:2 marriott when it's back on

The website merge is still ongoing. I can't see my trip reservations with SPG o_O not sure how long this will take

Just phoned Amex to transfer points to spg as online option not working yet . First said points would transfer at 2:1 ( old rate ) then said it would be 2:1.5 ( even better ) asked her to make note of what she promised . Anyone know what’s going on?

SPG points and Marriott points are the same thing now and worth 1/3 of the old SPG points. Too late now, don’t transfer anything.

There is not SPG points anymore, it's all Marriott points moving forward.

Amex to Martiott transfer is now live but there is no "Transfer Now" option. Apparently will be back live tomorrow

Further update : i called back and was advised the rate is 3:2 but to spg . Does anyone know if we can still transfer spg to Marriott @1:3 ratio ?

No, as above they are both the same points now. The transfer rate is really really bad. Put it out of your mind as an option and stop wasting your time on it.

And what is really bothering me is when I call SPG/Marriott and speak to an SPG rep, they are still talking to me in SPG points.

I called to ask for a points adjustment for the Prince de Galles booking (30k SPG/90k Marriott before), which is bookable for 60k Marriott points now. They still talk in SPG points. I ended up cancelling the booking and rebooked.

Does anyone know if its better value to transfer from Amex DJ directly to Krisflyer etc or first to the Marriott and then onwards?

Don't have the card and haven't done the calculations. My advice is to empty the balance and change it to Qantas version if you intend to keep the card. The MR for DJ Amex is rubbish now with the new Marriott conversation rates.

In hindsight, you definitely should have emptied your DJ MR balance back in July to SPG.

Definitely transfer to Krisflyer direct. It’s not even close. Just pretend the SPG/Marriott option no longer exists.
Agree with lilkid that the transfer rate to SPG from DJ amex was very favourable before, I would have been doing it as soon as I hit the minumum on that card.

I'm wondering if we can transfer 3amex to 2spg?

As an unmerged spg account has not been multiplied by 3

I have logged DJ account, and the transfer ratio still shows 1000=500, and I just tested 1000, it went successful. I will see how many points it will arrive in my SPG account.

I'm thinking of doing the same. Nowhere have they officially informed me what the transfer rate to Marriott points will be, and the rate in the MR portal still says 1000MR:500SPG. I only have 40,000 MR points and don't want to keep the card, plus it isn't much use in any of the other programs, really what is the risk with trying and then making a complaint should the points come through at 3:2.
