I applied for the business version on the 21th, using the $300 AF offer link
got a call the next day just asking to confirm that I applied for it.
A follow call on the 26th just confirming my business name and names of directors, no request for paperwork
Received text today confirming successful application and card is in the mail

Currently using personal version for business, and the free reserve card for personal, will cancel that to regain the credit limit to hopefully allow me to apply for other cards.

I'm wondering if that would mean, both insurance policies are valid concurrently to double the limits

I assume valid concurrently (although check the T&Cs, as often there's some clauses relating to overlapping policies), albeit the Personal card has outbound flight insurance activation requirement

YES that is the difference - different Eligibility for Biz Credit Card V Biz Charge Card. Again don't rely on my advice - speak to both AMEX and Chubb.

Now here is the thing - AMEX will not comment on the 'Insurance' aspects - and Chub will not comment on the 'Eligibility' aspects so you will need to speak to both to get the full details.

Plus unless you are a current 'Primary Cardholder' I don't know how much info will be forthcoming - but by all means try. I had these conversations on Monday with both AMEX and Chubb - this is the second time the full details have been confirmed to m e - previous occasion was over 12mths ago so I wanted to reconfirm just in case changes had occurred.

From what I can glean - the complimentary Travel Insurance attached to the Business Platinum Charge Card is almost if not entirely identical; to the insurance attached to Centurion. I have a nephew in insurance industry, and I furnished him with a copy of the Ts & Cs and his response was that this complimentary Travel Insurance was as good as he had ever seen and substantially better than most commercially available policies - he holds an industry exclusive policy which is better again but that is an aside.

I just had a read of the PDS of the Business vs Personal side-by-side and as you say, they appear to be almost identical, albeit the business card has a few extra 'business' areas of cover - YMMV (as insurance is such a personal thing), but I agree that the complimentary insurance appears attractive (I've frequently relied on the Personal cover to date). I also agree that your research re 'activation requirements' appears to be accurate as well.

I’m going mad! Can someone please help? I have a individual business platinum charge card and I’ve read on this thread that we are immune from the changes because we have the ascent points in a business card. I checked on Amex and that was confirmed. However, I tried to confirm with Amex by calling. They have insisted there will be a devaluation. Can someone please clarify?? Thank you

Lol, it's complicated I think! My understanding is that only new business plat charge card members are temporarily immune from the devaluation (but I haven't checked it out thoroughly - since I'm new and it was clear it applied to me) - of course, we are only 'protected' until end of May 2026 from memory

I am assuming that your ABN is registered for gst and you cleared the 75k threshold with proof right?
