No annual fee ($195) in your first year.

I would personally recommend transferring points to Singapore (Krisflyer) due to availability of flights.

One of the best credit cards I have ever had even with switch over to the travel credit. As you all know no annual fee for the 1st year, 15000 points & 200 travel credit. I will receive 15000 points as well. More than happy for anyone to use my referral link:)

Dear all,

Anyone looking to sign up for this card please feel free to use my referral link: http://amex.com.au/refer/dizZLle

We both will receive 15k bonus points when you sign up. Thank you very much!
Annual fee is $195 but is waived for the first year, you'll get $200 in return as travel credit which can be used to redeem flight, accommodation, car hire etc on Amex Travel site.

here's my referral link if anyone is interested :)

http://amex.com.au/refer/archijWhWO

We shall both receive 15,000 points each and its a $0 annual fee for the first 12 months for you.
You still get the full $200 travel credit to book flights (international or domestic), hotel or car hire.

I've done a couple of comparisons for international flights, domestic flights, hotel bookings. in all these cases the prices were the same when i checked the airline direct or via amex travel.
so no "amex tax" to pay.

With more retails and merchants accepting AMEX, it almost DOESN'T make sense NOT to have an AMEX card which helps accelerate your goals to achieving that awards flights. From everyday use for grocery shopping ($1 = 3 points) to servos($1 =2 points), it goes without saying that this AMEX Platinum Edge card has been an essential to many globetrotters especially with its' generous earning ratio.Everyday spend also yields 1:1 earning ratio with the exception of bills & utilities + ATO payments. Not forgetting the potential bonus points that one is capable of earning when they enrol in the Local Champions, demonstrating both gratitude and also true benefits of this Platinum Edge Card.

It really almost is the everyday card for any consumers, regardless of their spending power. Successful applicants using my referral link not only receive a once-off bonus points of 10000 points but also annual fee-waiver for the first year! Just remember that you'll need to put $750 on the card during the first 3 months upon activating the card. This Platinum Edge card also comes with annual $200 travel credit, thus outweighing the annual fee of $195 easily (+$5 extra!). The travel credit can be used on flights, hotels and tour packages using AMEX's dedicated travel platform to assist you by attentive representatives.

Needless to say, I'd very much be delighted if you truly think that this post helps by applying using the link provided as it not only brings you one step closer to that dream holiday of yours, but it also mine as I will receive a referral bonus of 15,000 points. Afterall, it's all about giving and sharing to all those especially on this forum who's contributed so much.
