Hello everyone,

I am planning to visit the US for the first time in late 2023 or early 2024.
If possible, i am also trying to experience ANA's latest J or F seats (Currently only available on flights to /from LAX, ORD and JFK) At this stage, i have no plans to visit NYC, so looking at flying into ORD or LAX at the moment. I know LAX gets a lot of negative reviews, but would still love to hear comments and advice from folks who have used ORD, and LAX (Actually, It would be good to hear which US airports that people love and hate in general !)

Thank you and have a nice weekend.

I would not worry about the airport you fly into. They are more or less just transit points.
Airport considerations are secondary to where you would like to go.

Bear in mind that the time you are planning to go is winter and ORD gets very cold and is sometimes weather affected - especially the snowstorm variety.

And spring, summer and autumn in Chicago is T-storm season! (they really did get the worst of everything!)

I spent nearly three hours in immigration at ORD a few years ago. I swore ‘never again’. i’d hope with automated kiosks that’s largely over now.

I don't have any experience with arriving international at ORD, but I'd say LAX has improved considerably in the past 5 years. I've never had a bad arrival experience at LAX (other than a couple of tight connections due to arrival delay) , but obviously worse does happen.

With electronic kiosks (as long as they are in use) makes immigration relatively painless. Personally, I wouldn't have any hesitation to arrive at LAX.
