About to hit Ambassador status for the year so wondering if there are any other ambassador's out there and any recommendations in terms of how to make best use of the Marriott Ambassador rep?

Congrats mate ...I don't think you will find too many in Australia (I will be surprised) given the herculean spend requirement in USD$. To be honest reading on blogs the program seems to have taken a big nose dive since Marriott took it on from SPG. That said, it seems pot luck ...if you get a great Ambassador contact you are winning ..if not then you are S.O.L.

I have 1580 nights and have been with SPG / Bonvoy for 15 years. From an Australian perspective the program under SPG was mediocre at best with the Singapore based team helping out every now and then. The program under Bonvoy is non existent.

Thanks for the replies. That seems to echo the sentiment elsewhere so won't have too higher hopes. I am torn between diversifying stays (potentially 60 Hyatt rest Marriott) or racking up the lifetime night count while I can. For me the point earn and burn seems relatively easy to date with Marriott so leaning on the stay with Marriott side.
