Am I better off buying points in this situation?

I am planning a stay at Hilton Tokyo (Shinjuku) in November with 3 adults. It appears that I am better off to buy points than pay the current price. Am I reading this correctly?

DayFull PricePoints and PayPoints only
1$40020000 + $11550000
2$40020000 + $11550000
3$40020000 + $11550000
4$40020000 + $11550000
5$580na50000

I have 58500 points and Gold status. I could buy 20000 points for around $220, saving $285. So I figure if I buy 22000 points for A$245, I could book Days 1 – 4 for the cost of my 58000 points + 4 x $115 + $245 = $705. Then pay for Day 5 adding up to $1285.

Have I got this right?

To my untrained eye that looks correct. Hopefully an expert or two can check the details and let us both know!

That should work ... note that an HHonors Elite can redeem 5 nights for the price of four¹, i.e. 200,000 points all up - although that won't help here.

¹ The rate on searches drops by [sup]1[/sup]/[sub]5[/sub]th or 20% to 40,000 per night if you select 5 nights or more.
