ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

Does someone have an answer to whether this is an IT thing or did Accor just shaft us?
Given Accor have published the availability criteria now effective and are known for years to have quirky IT, the answer is self evident. The changes are big and clearly still being worked on, keeping in mind the 1st October takes 24 hours to get around the world, I would expect the quirks to clear in the next few days.

I'm not 100% certain but i believe its one of those terribly worded things where it's additional status points above the platinum threshold. So after 14000.

The T&Cs are clear on how it all works (Terms and Conditions)

Yet, as I posted, I only have 11,000 odd status points.

I maintain my 🤷‍♂️posture.

I wouldn’t care so much except the extra SNU still hasn’t posted. (but no doubt it’s just a new system glitch so I’m not going to hold my breath😊).

You received the same message, verbatim, that I did from Accor when I reached 18K & 22K status points earlier in the year. If you are at 11K for the year, then it was definitely a mistake that you received it, though of course the fact they have communicated this to you means you may well be able to talk someone into crediting an extra SNU to your account as a gesture of goodwill. Show your mate at the Sofitel :)

As the terms address, Accor ALL members (don't need to be Plus, as it's not related to this benefit) achieve 2 X SNUs on qualifying or re-qualifying ALL Platinum each calendar year, whether that's via 14,000 status points, or 60 status nights (of which now no more than 30 nights can come from bonus nights from any ALL+ source). You then receive an additional 1 x SNU at 18K status points (i.e. 4K points from attaining via the status points / spend method), and then at 22K, 26K, 32K and so on, up to a maximum of 12 SNUs a year (including the original 2 from Platinum). The 12th & last one you would earn would come at 54K.

Cheers,
Matt.
