ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

Does someone have an answer to whether this is an IT thing or did Accor just shaft us?
Given Accor have published the availability criteria now effective and are known for years to have quirky IT, the answer is self evident. The changes are big and clearly still being worked on, keeping in mind the 1st October takes 24 hours to get around the world, I would expect the quirks to clear in the next few days.

I'm not 100% certain but i believe its one of those terribly worded things where it's additional status points above the platinum threshold. So after 14000.

The T&Cs are clear on how it all works (Terms and Conditions)

Yet, as I posted, I only have 11,000 odd status points.

I maintain my 🤷‍♂️posture.

I wouldn’t care so much except the extra SNU still hasn’t posted. (but no doubt it’s just a new system glitch so I’m not going to hold my breath😊).

You received the same message, verbatim, that I did from Accor when I reached 18K & 22K status points earlier in the year. If you are at 11K for the year, then it was definitely a mistake that you received it, though of course the fact they have communicated this to you means you may well be able to talk someone into crediting an extra SNU to your account as a gesture of goodwill. Show your mate at the Sofitel :)

As the terms address, Accor ALL members (don't need to be Plus, as it's not related to this benefit) achieve 2 X SNUs on qualifying or re-qualifying ALL Platinum each calendar year, whether that's via 14,000 status points, or 60 status nights (of which now no more than 30 nights can come from bonus nights from any ALL+ source). You then receive an additional 1 x SNU at 18K status points (i.e. 4K points from attaining via the status points / spend method), and then at 22K, 26K, 32K and so on, up to a maximum of 12 SNUs a year (including the original 2 from Platinum). The 12th & last one you would earn would come at 54K.

Cheers,
Matt.

Excuse my ignorance but I rarely stay at Accor Hotels nowadays - still 50% off dining for 2 guests?

What happens if stay is booked via a 3rd party? Are all Accor Mship benefits out the window? TIA 👍

LOL Accor with their exceptional customer service. Took them 1 day to respond to my Whatsapp message, and I didn't even get a chance to finish typing the sentence. They already mark it done??.... 🥳

Dining discount is now 30% for the table up to 10 diners.

As a general rule, membership benefits are out the window if booking via 3rd party (I say general rule because there are some circumstances where booking via 3rd party still gives benefits - eg I recently made a booking through the work travel provider CTM, and the booking was able to be added to my personal Accor app and things like the welcome drink, points etc show up in the app)

I have read this whole thread but boy it is confusing.

So I was Gold Plus and wasn't going to worry about renewing but now my card says Gold but also an All+ Explorer

Does that sound right

If you’ve renewed (or already current A+), you should be at least ALL Gold until end of 2026.

The A+ will be valid to your anniversary date.

That's right - bookings made through corporate TAs and associated OBTs (online booking tools) are generally fine for status benefits; these are typically non-commissionable rates, with the agencies making their money from the client (your company) in other ways. The hotels and airlines know they can't exclude these corporate channels from being eligible as it would see off too many bookings! Exceptions exist though on occasion, like where your agency OBT is also presenting non-cancellable, distressed inventories from Booking[dot]com and the like, as these are the same ones the public can book, and would usually not be eligible for benefits. The terms for a given rate, which you should be able to find before completing the booking, should confirm eligibility or otherwise

What's their WhatsApp number, please?
I use the one from this website.

Suggest don't waste your time, contact them, such a horrendous customer service.

P/s waiting almost 1 hour on hold today just for them to pick up their phone then they was like oh yes yes you should be able to recieved 2 nights after cancelling your booking then suggest me to cancel the booking so the 2nd free night will appear as they just updated their system. after I cancelled it still showing 1 stay plus and then they was like oh it take time then he check on his end and literally backflip 180 and said oh you only supposed to recieved 1 free night now and you get the new 2 free night on next renew next year (the hell i do now esp after this mess) and the guy keep saying it is what it is and they cant do anything about it. Then I said How does it fair for me as before 1/10, I could book and stay for free without the need to pay extra for these stays, and now I only received 1 Stay night back and have to stick with the new requirement 2-night purchase, etc, while not even getting a 2nd free night as expected then he start bs about the new enhance dinning experience.....

Welcome to AFF. Yes, different percentages off meals now. Sad for two diners, but fairer for solo diners,

I will also miss my “free” night., which I often used at an airport Pullman for one night pre flight. Or in Melbourne CBD on arrival from Perth before moving on the next day to stay with family. The new 2-for-1 doesn’t work for me, but might be good value to many others. I was so looking forward to a night at Bunker Bay in November.; now it seems like we will have to stay two nights, paying for one of those nights.
Thanks - I pretty much used the perks in a similar way, oh well.... I've had a good run since getting the membership 'free' through Platinum Amex 4 years ago (and cancelling the Amex a year later), I've never been billed for my Accor membership, and somehow got Platinum rolled over last year without meeting the criteria - so I think my luck may run out after this migration and only 12/60 nights this year

I didn't bother to renew and just received an email. They expire at the end of 2025 so will try and use what I can before then

We are excited to have launched ALL Accor+ Explorer on 1 October 2025. As part of your enhanced membership, you will now have two digital cards: your ALL Accor membership card and your ALL Accor+ Explorer card, both linked to your unique account.

The important part for dining being:

"To enjoy your dining benefits, please show the hotel your ALL Accor+ Explorer card."

I’m tempted to cancel one and see what happens but holding off to see if this actually works.

As a new member, it's a shame I've not been given until end 2026 to achieve Platinum. 30 nights in 3 months is a big ask, so it seems if be better off not staying at accor until after Jan 1st.

At that point would i have 0 nights, or still 30 with Accor+ 🤔

Come January 1, those nights will reset to zero, and you'll have to get to 60 again in 2026. So basically, will be starting from nothing. Although, if you have a October renewal, you'll get another 30 nights when you renew.

Well there were two extra months in the latest promo, so renewal isn't effective (presuming that's when the nights land) until 1 December.
