ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

My A+ renewal is end of September like you @Flyingwombat
I called Accor+ and was informed that 30 bonus nights land in the account after 1 October- no 20 nights in September- be nice but not happening.
If it did happen, many folk would be extremely happy with only 10 paid nights under their belt to reach/maintain Platinum!
Thanks so much for doing the legwork! I shall go back to my original plan of renewal in 2026. Hoping there will be a good sign up bonus again. Last time, I got 10,000 Qantas points, 30% off the cost and breakfast for 2. Shame platinum will be gone - I've enjoyed 15 free breakfasts for me and partner...

So my renewal date is Sept 30th, but I decided to renew early, about a week ago.
How long does it take for them to credit the extra 20 nights Status Nights?
So, I got sick of waiting (It's been 2 weeks since I renewed) so lodged a support ticket with Accor.
My bonus nights haven't been credited yet, but my Accor Plus shows expiry of Nov 2026.

Their response was that since I have earned 30 status nights via Accor China, my 20 nights would not be credited.
I've replied saying that's incorrect, as this only comes into effect from 1st Oct. And I've renewed early, plus my subscription was due to expire on 30th Sept, so it's definitely not valid.

No response yet....

Interesting reply from them. I agree, the new policy shouldn’t count since it only kicks in on Oct 1. But does that kind of confirm the Accor China + Accor Plus combo won’t work after Oct 1, even though most people should still keep their status until Dec 2026?

My guess is that your bonus nights are due to automatically appear on 1 Oct being the first day of your membership year. The customer service team are unable to manually credit the nights so they came up with an excuse about Accor China. I don't know why they didn't just use the excuse that your nights will credit on the first day of your new year.

Your membership renewal date was 30 Sep 2025. Bonus nights are credited within 7 days of this date (ie sometime between 1-7 October). The system doesn't take renewing early into account.

I just activated my Amex Platinum Accor + benefit and received 20 status nights. I’m really hoping the other 10 nights arrive on 1 October. Also I received an email from Accor saying “welcome back” and offering the 2 free months if I rejoined, but rejoining via Amex I didn’t get 2 extra months.

Could have guaranteed +30 bonus nights by postponing activation until 1 October...(if the other 10 nights were important)

Yes perhaps- and they are- but wanted the A+ benefits for a few upcoming stays, and with so much conflicting and confusing information just hit the button. Hopefully at least another 10 nights land when I “upgrade” to the new program..

Has anyone reached Platinum this calendar year, with more than 30 bonus nights as a part of the number of nights stay? If so, has the status expiration date extended to 2026?

Just a data point here for the group. Renewed my Accor Plus at end of August with membership expiring at end of September 2026. About a couple of days later the 20 bonus nights arrived in my account.

Some questions for the group as I don’t know the answers to these:
  • Will I earn the additional 10 bonus nights on or around October 1?
  • I was given a renewal offer of 14 months instead of 12, shouldn’t that mean my expiry is October 31 and not September 30?
  • I was promised 2000 bonus points but those haven’t arrived yet. Any ideas what’s going on here?

What additional 10 days? They are part of the new offering, not legacy Accor Plus

Unless they stated it would be part of your renewal? I got only 20 nights for my May renewal

There have been anecdotes that Customer service agents have advised that an additional ten bonus nights will be credited to at least some existing plus members. I am not aware of this being so indicated in the revised terms.

If fourteen months was offerred for a renewal of a membership expiring September 2025 I would expect to end of November 2026.

As for the 2000 points not crediting while the 20 nights have, is there anything in the terms of the offer that indicates a time frame for the points to credit?

Personally, I would give this about a 10% chance of occuring, but hey I would be happy to be proven wrong.

First, Accors systems would need to differentiate between who was given 20 and 30 nights previously. Perhaps they can, but I suspect that it really isn't that deterministic of a process - they just credit them at renewal, they would have had little to no need to track them beyond that in the past.

Second, I just know that the CS agents loaded up the new offer page, saw 30 days and said "oh yes you will get 10 more". The fact that they have a FAQ entry going into great detail on how the 2 stay plus nights will convert and zero on the 10 nights says it all to me.

I wouldn't be holding my breath is my assessment. I also generally don't ask Accor CS a question unless I absolutely cannot self service it, or I suffer from a lack of contemptuous treatment in my life

Different promo but I received 3000 bonus ALL points at the same time as my 20 nights via the QBR offer. Both posted within a few days of signing up.

I had to chase up the 10k QBR bonus (posted last week). Somehow my ABN didn’t come across even though that was Step 1 to check eligibility!

Based on what I’ve seen here and elsewhere- I’m expecting a further 10 nights come October and presumably the free night splitting in two - not sure about what happens if I use my one now or it’s just another anyway?

I just clarified again with Accor via the app messaging what would happen in my circumstances (Plus expires 30/9/25 and platinum expires 31/12/25). They advised that I would get the 30 status nights in October as part of the new program, but that I will lose platinum as I currently only have 15 earned status nights in 2025.

I have now definitely decided to let Plus lapse and rejoin next year - but only for a good sign-up bonus again either as an individual or with my ABN. If I can get $100 at least of value from sign up bonus, then using the 2 stay nights should offset the cost and any other savings are cream on the top.

I will miss the free platty brekkies - that has been a great perk. Even smaller hotels like Mercure Launceston have been great and the Asian properties have amazing spreads. Perhaps better for my waistline to just be gold...

The QBR promo I signed up to in July comes around at least twice a year - 3000 ALL points (€60) and 10k QBR points (~$100+ if used towards flying/upgrades). Along with 2 free nights is sort of paying for itself - plus you might be able to expense the cost?

Yep hoping for that! Last time I got 10,000 QF points, 2 free brekkies and a 30% reduction in the subscription fee. I'm no longer in the rat race, and don't think ATO will let me offset against my tax free scholarship :), although I do need some tiny amount of revenue to keep the ABN going...

As a data point:

I am Accor Plus Platinum, with a renewal date of 31/8/25. Upon my renewal date I requalified for platinum until 31/8/26 based on my 2024 calendar year (>60 nights + >14000 status points, so qualified on both criteria). So far for 2025 I am at 35 nights and will likely be at 50 nights by year's end, and likely <14000 status points.

I clarified with Accor Plus customer service whether I would remain Platinum until 31/8/26 as is currently indicated in my app, and due to the fact that I have requalified in good faith based on the criteria at the time.

I received a short response telling me that unless I get to 60 nights by the end of the 2025 calendar year I will be dropping to gold on January 1.

Quite unhappy with this shifting of the goalposts, and I have at least 3 trips booked at Accor properties in the Asia Pacific in the first half of 2026 for which I was relying on receiving Platinum perks like brekky and lounge access. Quite frankly I'm inclined to now cancel and book elsewhere.
