ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

Perhaps a quick question. I'm Accor+Platinum with my Accor+ membership expiring at the end of the month. It will cost me $229 USD to get a new membership (new members get 14 months for 12 months) which will get me 20 nights, plus effective October 1, two free nights in Asia Pacific an additional 10 nights towards status and 15% off stays at 4000 Accor properties worldwide. However, I also notice that Accor offers the Voyageur program for 200 Euros per year (i.e. same price as Plus) which provides the 20% discount worldwide on Luxury & Premium brands and a 15% discount on Midscale and Economy brands plus 20 nights towards status.

At present I have racked up 28 status nights this year (NONE of them being bonus nights from Accor+). I'm living in Germany now and so will do a decent amount of travel around Europe so Accor discounts will matter to me.

I'm wondering if someone could give perspective here. Would it make sense continuing on with Accor+ or should I make the switch to ALL Voyaguer? The only benefit I can see from the Voyaguer would be the slightly higher discount at Premium brands although looking back at my prior bookings, most have been made at midscale (i.e. Mercure, Handwritten) or economy brands (i.e. ibis).

The two free nights in Asia Pacific alone go a good way to cover the cost of subscription for Plus.

Are you on track to reach the Platinum 60 night threshold anyway (cause +30 on Plus vs +20 on Voyaguer)?

If you don't stay at luxury or premium brands, then the voyageur 20% is moot.
