Actually, I'm in the city from 9am until midday Thursday on a training course (overlooked it in iPhone earlier), so I'll be going back to the office to pick up the car and head off from here.

You decide how you need to get to where you are going. I can drop you where you need to be.

OK now I'm confused :(. Flashware, you're heading out on Friday 16th April isn't it?

In any case, in the lack of thinking of other good places near the airport to enjoy a beer, steak or what not, Breakfast Creek sounds like a good idea. I think there are some swanky places at Hamilton, but I'm assuming we're not quite into that.

Friday, yep. Venue doesn't bother me, I'll probably only be having a small bite to eat.

I can't think of a better place for bar or food anyway.

There's a restaurant and bar at the new Novotel Brisbane Airport, but that probably doesn't rank high on the radar.

In any case, you'd be about right, as being in QF Perth CityFlyer J they'd feed you pretty well. And then again for the Trans-Tasman portion again in J.

Am just about to zip up the suit case and hit the road. The one thing I can't find is my gongs! Well, they are in the safe. It's my replicas I can't find! How is a girl meant to strut around on ANZAC Day if she doesn't have her medals??? I know, the world won't stop moving but where are they hiding?

You can get replica medals?

I thought that would be illegal. A bit like replicas of money, Olympic medals, etc.

Replicas are allowed however they do have replica engraved on them. Depending on the manufacturer it's either on the back or on the edge as in the outside of the circle. The recipients' details on the originals are engraved on the medals.

It's my understanding medals are worth more left in their box. Plus my replicas are mounted (attached together so they look heaps fancier) which is something I would not want done to my originals. Chances are that Trooper Donaldson wears a replica of his VC, just as Keith Payne VC has done for decades.

See you soon ...
Yes, you'll see anat0l and me tomorrow at 2pm. Do you want us to park and meet you at the Gate, or a "pick up and dash" at the pick-up area (walk across 2 zebra crossings)? How well do you know BNE Domestic?

I'd suggest picking you up after the Hertz bungalow on the RHS (furthest away from the Terminal) - as less people pull in there from experience. We can park at DFS or Novotel and when you arrive (taxiing) give one of us a call, so we can amble up the road.

I'll want to drop you back at the Intl ~5pm, otherwise I'll get hit with the afternoon traffic. That should give you plenty of time to get through Customs, into the QP and give karens a call before you flight leaves.

Thanks for the heads up NM. I do recall reading that on signs in March, but had forgotten the inception date. I definitefly want to pick up Flashware on a "drive through' basis.

Pick up and dash sounds good to me. Don't know BNE domestic too well, most times I've arrived I've been slightly in-tox :p Won't be tomorrow though!

Hertz bungalow sounds easy, and 5pm dropping back is fine ; it may even be earlier depending on how much work backs up during the day.
