Airways host flies QF and regrets it.

I'm glad you put the word discussion in inverted commas, because this thread certainly doesn't warrant that label. I would rather have more quality and less quantity, and in my opinion this sort of thread lowers the value of the site.

I'm hardly one to talk, but I do try to avoid this types of threads for this reason. In so many ways, on so many subjects News Ltd reporting frustrates me. But sometimes you need to move past that and try to get something useful out of the stories. Constant bleeting about how bad news Ltd is, just doesn't help. (I know, I do it myself at times)

Sorry I will go and stand in the naughty corner.

Maybe she should stick to flying TT, and hope she doesn't get caught out by the check in dead line, extra fees etc.

She is also a comedian and has done many shows.

Never heard her so no idea if she is actually funny.

And used to co-host The Glass House on ABC TV some years back with Wil Anderson and Dave Hughes. She wasn't side-splittingly funny on that, but probably not the ideal vehicle to judge her on. Haven't seen any of her other work.

Who is Corinned Grant? And who cares? Stop giving these moronic no hopers any credibility....

Wasn't she on Rove as well initially?

Partial credit. Rove and his sycophants were post Glass House.

My big problem with Grant is that she blends her humour with bias from her union/political views. Sadly, they don't come together well and leave behind a train wreck of sizable proportions.

Post? Her work on Rove started 2000, and on Glass House in 2001.

(Can't say I've ever much liked her work, but that is true of many Melbourne 'somedians')

Sounds more like Miranda Devine that Corrine Grant.

It is a rather meaningless story, but it does highlight a problem, in my opinion, that QF has.

Overall QF does not do communications particularly well. (Again my opinion!) Consistently inconsistent I think. Regardless of the truth in the stories that circulate in the media and on forums like these it is public perception that needs addressing.

If public perception is poor QF needs to work out why and improve and get some consistency in the way it communicates its messages. Sometimes being right is not enough, people need to understand the why's and wherefores. (Not easy though and QF hasn't suffered anything like BP has at the hands of the media.)

By the way isn't Corinne Grant the woman for the insurance add with the big dog in a car? (The ad is obviously working because I have no recollection of the name of the insurance company.) :)
