I'm currently Umming an Aaring over a trip to Wellington From SYD for @$212.10 return.

Hmmm.

The funny thing is that the fare is $1 each way, but the fuel fines are $114 of that. Rest is Govvy charges for Airport use/departure etc.

With Qantas, I'm gonna pay over $300 to connect with my $212 fare to NZ. Think I'm going to pass this time. (although should just rent a car and drive both ways. Would be cheaper than the shaft fares Qantas charges)

Managed to get four seats for this weekend MEL-WLG at $206 return each, and have just been able to use my last complimentary upgrade before it expires on the way across. Throw into the mix that two of us travelling are QF WP's - we're all looking forward to nice meal and a drink or two in the FCL before the flight. All in all pretty good value!
