Just spotted this, Air NZ is now available for Partner burn points across ALL memberships.

Conversion rate: 2,000 Reward Points = 30 Air points Dollars

Source: ALL – Air NZ

*Not sure if this belongs in the ALL thread or the Air NZ thread, mods, please move if needed. Thanks!

30 NZD value on an AirNZ redemption or 79 NZD value on an Accor redemption... who is this appealing to? (cue jokes about people silly enough to engage in the Airpoints program)
Thinking the same.

Presumably only to people at the margins - if you had 2000 Accor points and no further plans to stay at a Accor property and were 30 Airpoints short of a redemption it might work.

But you can make a similar argument about any airline transfers. $71 AUD for 2500 QF points, not terrific value at 2.84c per point. Or even worse $71AUD for 2000 Velocity points or worse still 1000 KrisFlyer miles!!

100% agree with you on that. I guess the only upside is that the 2,000 points = €40 value has mostly held steady. With so many other brands devaluing over time, I do wonder if Accor will eventually jump on the bandwagon and start cutting the redemption rate too.
