Due to what turned out to be a false fire alarm at MEL ATC and consequent eventual need to evacuate the tower, Melbourne Airport closed to inbound flights for about half an hour from 0930 to 1000 on Monday 14 Jnauary.

AC37 from YVR down to MEL naturally had to hold and so B789 C-FGEI is arriving at 1039, 34 late.

Sunday 20 January 2019 sees AC38, the 1140 hours late morning MEL - YVR (B789 C-FNOE) taking off at 1323 with same day arrival suggested as 0903, 93 late.

On Wednesday 23 January 2019, AC33, the 2355 hours Monday 21 YVR - SYD that took off at 0241 hours on Tuesday 22 is likely to arrive at 1240, 130 late. Aircraft is B772LR C-FNND. This flight originated in YYZ and had taken off from there at 2254 on Monday, 174 minutes after timetabled pushback. It had previously been three minutes early arriving in YYZ on AC28 ex PVG, so the delay occurred in Toronto. Weather there has been extremely cold even by its winter standards.

AC34, the 1215 hours lunchtime SYD to YVR should be able to depart at around 1400 hours.

Tuesday 11 February 2019 has AC34, the scheduled 1215 hours SYD - YVR (B773ER C-FIVS) having taken off at 1435, meaning suggested same day arrival as 0935, 125 minutes late.

AC33 into SYD (ex YVR) on Thursday 14 February 2019 should be at its gate at 1157 hours, 87 late. This is due to the initial leg from YYZ to YVR taking off at 2208 on Tuesday night despite a timetabled departure of 2000 hours. Aircraft is C-FIUJ, a B772LR. This will delay the 1215 hours return flight until at least 1325 in its pushback.

Wednesday 3 April 2019 sees AC33 from YVR down to SYD expected to arrive at 1002 hours, 42 late. B772LR C-FNND is the aircraft. From today the departing AC34 ex SYD changes to an 1110 hours (not a 1010) so the delay in pushing back should be less than half an hour if all goes well.

Wednesday 17 April 2019 sees AC35 from YVR to BNE (B788 C-GHPU) arriving at a projected 0836 hours, 71 minutes late. This hasn't been assisted by the plane having to hold offshore, something that BNE despite its runway limitations seems to have far less of then (for instance) MEL. Thankfully Air Canada has a longer than minimum turnaround for this flight, so the returning AC36, the 1040 hours should (in theory) be able to depart on time.
