A great evening of wines, food and chat. Thanks all. I'm feeling a bit dusty this morning but nothing a bacon and egg muffin hasn't sorted out :).

That's exactly what I had. Now it's time for some pho to get me through the rest of today.

It was good night, what I remember from it anyway...
On my way home I was "unlucky" to meet a friend who was on his way to a bar where we polished off
a bottle of Hibiki... It was a rude awakening this morning but I'm used to it after AFF dinner events :)
A whole bottle? Glad it wasn't me.

Well I am glad to see that everybody had such a good time and still disappointed that I couldn't attend. Still, there is next time to which I will look forward.

Given GPH and I just enjoyed the SYD AFF Wine Lovers lunch yesterday, I think I have introduced him to a new pastime.

Yes I did, Thank you (QF WP) very very much. I am looking forward to making it a regular event on my social calendar.

They're not going to allow BYO at the Cricketers' Club are they?

I was wondering the same thing. I would be surprised if they allowed BYO. If they do it's a great venue

No they don't normally as they are licenced - however I have asked with regards to a special function ;) - will update when have a response

As an alternate, we could organise a table at one of their events: http://www.qcclub.com.au/qc-events/

the one I would think is most appropriate is the Geoff Merrill one, but we'd need to be very quick as it's in 2 weeks: http://www.qcclub.com.au/qc-events/geoff-merrill-fine-wine-dinner-2017/

or the Long Table Long Lunch in September: http://www.qcclub.com.au/qc-events/long-table-long-lunch-2017/

Dress code shouldn't be a problem: http://www.qcclub.com.au/become-a-member/dress-regulations/

they all look pretty good, its just a matter of getting numbers

I'm quite flexible this month so count me in. Don't really care about the venue, as long as they accept AMEX ;)

I am heading off for a couple of months from Monday. See you at the following one.

Enjoy!
