And indeed Nasdaq rules were changed somewhat recently to arguably over represent it with respect to free float rules.

Just finished paying the fiscal fiend so I had to sell some stocks. Out went some ALX,RIO,WOW,WOR and CDA to keep the country running for a micro second.
I just read Wilson Asset Management’s submission on the CGT proposed changes and it is worth a good read.
It is possible that discretionary trusts can get hit with double taxes in 2027 so tax accountants are scrambling.
Of course I don’t rate our current Federal Treasurer as his proposals if enacted will lower productivity by having accountants working on taxes rather than efficiencies.

The current treasurer thinks a tax rate of up to 63% on family trust distributions thru companies to individuals is ok. No it isn’t.
Well that will put the Australian economy into a deep sleep.
We hold Steadfast, AUB and QBE in the insurance space. Steadfast now has a takeover approach which is SDF.
Now if the economy slows our banks will struggle to grow their profits in a very dull market.
On SpaceX I think Musk has way too much control for us to invest in it.

Tonight we took up the Megaport issue at $14.30 as the shares are higher.

Friday night US time sees SpaceX list. Running on hopes and dreams it has been priced at 90 times sales.
Elon Musk turns 55 this month.
Our futures market is up a lot this morning so it should be a good day in Australia.

For someone so bright and so driven, I wonder what E.Musk will do next.. funding is no problem.. perhaps Potus ?

In the scheme of the likely challenges , birthplace could be very low on the list.
The US remains fractured, vulnerable AND (drum roll) malleable… ( a bit like us really)
Musk as Potus would just be another brick in the road to Nirvana

Bought WOW Oct 25 for around $26. Selling out all of my shares today for $38.

Can guarantee that in that extremely polarised political environment there, that birthplace will be the top of the agenda if ever Musk ran for POTUS.
