Sounds like a good idea, let's book for lunch.

Brunch was a bad idea... I waited around 30-60 mins before anyone else showed up!

I'll be up early on Sunday though, so anyone interested in a breakfast also let me know and we'll sort something :)

I'm going to be staying off Alcohol for this meet.

No fence sitting for me either. I will definitely not be there. Perhaps next time if the planets are aligned and a city a little more exciting than Adelaide is chosen. :-|

hmmm I kinda like the idea of long sunday breakfat that ends up being lunch and afternoon tea...

This is what I will do- I will book a table for 10.30 am and I will book the table for 4 people.... We can always adjust the numbers and time closer to the day...

Ok, sounds good. As long as I'm not left waiting at 10.30 again wondering whether I should just order and eat, wait it out, or whether I'm at the right place

Sorry about that.

Hmm i did look forward to the winery tour btw... but the self-tour option also sounds good. Though that means one person can't drink. :(

That's OK; I just thought that I had read it wrong and might have been early but in fact it's just that everyone else was busy getting on with sleep (wish I had that option ;);) well ... not really *ahem*), but I digress...

I'm happy to not drink, it is certainly the healthier option for me

I'm still up for this w/end. Happy to go with the flow...Friday drinks, wineries (which ever way it works out with reasonable costs), Sat dinner, lunch/brunch Sunday all sound fine. Would have liked the cricket too but leaving mid afternoon so probably not a viable option...

Told you all that tylenol can't be good for your health...:p

I can suggest Chianti for lunch/brunch/breakfast on Sunday...
They serve really good food and have great selection of wine.. Chianti Classico: citysearch

I'm happy to book a table for us.

cheers

That looks like a really nice place and not too far from anything (a few blocks from Rundle Mall). I'm all for it! Cheers sris.

On another topic, this is further (not final) announcement for all attendees travelling to rAdelaide for AFF Gather #2, I'm still keeping tabs on name badges so if you haven't done so already, please email or PM me your details:

AFF_handle - First_name (Or whole name if you prefer) - Home_City

e.g. jjdoe - John - CNS

Come to think of it, should I also have included status (e.g. QFF NB, OWS, etc. etc.)? Or is that too pretentious?

People who have responded so far are:

  • QF009
  • Flashware
  • munitalP (Thanks for the offer of equipment - may get back to you on this!)
  • tuapekastar

anat0l, if numbers remain roughly where they are now you may be able to save yourself some time and effort. With so relatively few attendees, nametags may be an overkill. Hopefully the numbers will jump up a bit but if not then maybe save yourself a little hassle. I hasten to add that if you're happy to produce 'em, I'm happy to wear 'em).

In some respects, you're right.

On the other hand, call it a souvenir of the gathering. Besides, with fewer people attending, I save money!

Thanks for the kind words.

I'm still a "Silver" or "maybe" for this...may have a trip to PER that I can swing into those dates, but that will mean that I would be able to attend one day (probably the Fri night drinks and/or Saturday), as I have responsibilities at home that need attention.

Count me in - I'll try to limit the late night "activity" ;) so I can get some sleep and wake up for it.

I have no preference, although I prefer outside only if the ambient noise outside is not excessive. I like to converse and outside in the fresh air is nice but if we have to shout, that's just ridiculous.

Of course, if it's going to be 32 degC outside then perhaps there may be a case to sit inside.

My thoughts exactly..

noted.

I'm foreseeing a loooooong brunch.. so.. even if you get there late... chances are I'm prob still there :D
