I have to regretfully inform that I will be a scratching from this wonderful event. I was booking flights earlier on and realised that I will be playing golf on the 2nd and 3rd of August.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused and wish the event success and a permanent fixture in the AFF social calendar....

PriorityClub Pointbreaks (5000 points per night) are now available for the HI on Flinders St. I'm booked in 1-3 Aug for 10000 points.

So consider that my home hotel.

Is this as well as the Airline Exec?

The Westin Melbourne is running a pretty sweet deal, the 'Melb in Winter' offer.

Rate is $295 per night AI, but note
Rate Includes $100 Credit Per Stay. Can Be Used On Food &.beverage (except In-room Dining & Mini-bar) Or Towards A Room.upgrade
Between brekkies and the Martini Bar, and your total rate is really only $195/night. :)

This also appears to be a fully flex rate.

Any SPGers wishing to pick up some stay credits/Starpoints - i reckon this is a bargain considering the average rate of this property ranges between 280-250 usually (and without the $100 credit). :)

There is no such link, or at least not that I've seen. I found it when doing a dummy booking. You need to commence the booking process on spg.com. A list of rates will appear after you've selected the property. Click on 'Terms and Details' under 'Melb in Winter Offer.'

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

HI on Flinders is now off the list :!:

I'm surprised it was ever n the list, but if ever folk needed proof that when it comes to redemptions, strike while the iron is hot is an adage to live by.

You can say that again!! I booked 3 nites to attend 2 different conferences on the day the promotion came out, and when I went back to see if I could book more rooms (not sure whether I would be needing them, hence my delay), the 5000 promo was gone!!:(

I will be booking my airfares in the next 24 hours or so. Can't wait around till the last minute to book a PE deal or anything else.

Currently with Qantas, it's $260 return to $340 return depending on which flights I choose. Virgin Blue is currently roughly $350 to $380 return (at the times I want to travel).

DJ (eg DJ322 Arriving 3:20pm on Fri, DJ317, Leaving 10:15am on Sun) = $348+booking fee.
QF (eg QF621 Arriving 3:15pm on Fri, QF614, Leaving 11:05 on Sun) = $258 + booking fee.

It's an easy choice then................... DJ :D:mrgreen:

I don't care how you get to Melbourne, you need to look at this option for the return, think of the extra points. It was pricing at $212.00
