Hi all
As I’m still in Europe until Monday next,
As previously alluded to, the registration deadline is fast approaching. I will be confirming final numbers to the venues for this years gathering next weekend. The final date to get payments through will be Thursday 10th October. I will watch my account up until midnight that night before numbers are set.

If you decide after registration closes that you would like to attend the Friday night drinks, you will still be able to, but there will be the same cover charge at the door. This is to cover venue hire. The function will be held at the Australian Wine Emporium (part of the Australian Hotel), 100 coughberland Street, The Rocks. Event start will be 1800.

We still have plenty of spots free to the Opera House Tour, with the cap for this event being 46 people. The tour is at 10:15 and you will need to be at the Welcome Centre located on the Lower Concourse at least 10 minutes prior.

We also have plenty of space left at the dinner for anyone interested in that event. If you do/will not know your availability until the week of the event or a few days prior, please get in touch with me and I will see if we can accommodate you as a last minute starter.

Finally, the HARS bus tour still has 12 seats available. As mentioned earlier, I am also willing to continue to take booking for this up until the weekend, but you will not be able to book any extra activities at the museum, they are fully booked. Please get in touch with me if you have any queries about this.

Hi support
As I’m still in Europe until 14th October, I haven’t sorted out anything.

However, I’ve come in with a significant underspend here (lots of days of walking) so it is feasible to suggest I would get to Sydney for Saturday night and Sunday HARS event only. (Staying with friends and fly out Monday sometime....)

Is it best to PM once I’m ready probably by later Tuesday 15th for a final yea or neigh ?

Thanks

EDIT I found the booking link, and half of it defaults to German. Meine Antwort. Presumably you need a bank transfer not a credit card payment so that probsbly causes mayhem with my bank setting up a new payment may need a net code sent to my switched off till I’m back in Australia mobile phone. Ugh....
That’s the quandary so any advice appreciated

I am sure we can sort something out. Send me or @support a PM so we can work on some details.

Tuesday will be fine for both of those events. Start a conversation when possible and we can work something out.

The booking form is made in Google, so has probably auto-translated based on the country you are currently in... but at the end it does provide a bank account details.

I am not sure which list I am on currently, but regrettably I will be a scratching.

There is just a little bit too much going in my world right now, including 2 functions I am meant to be attending on the Friday 18th.

Yep at the Veriu. We chose it as it was so close to the train station. And I will have Opal card firmly in hand! :)
The One Person of Australia League? I remember it well.
That is what Opal means to Australians.

Usually you refer to yourself as being "copper" but I do not believe such a position exists, so when you said as much in January of this year, I promptly ignored it ;) I usually keep a list of Platinum (confirmed), Gold (strong chance) and Silver (low chance).

This isn't the thread for it, but what you're referring to would be stylised as OPAL, being an acronym and all.

Crisis averted. After multiple conversations with people in Amsterdam, Orlando, Montreal and China(?) we finally each have confirmation emails for two nights at the Novotel.

Where's Gunny Highway when you need him.

Is it possible to just join the event at HARS? Myself and proskyneo live in Wollongong and would make our own way there.

Sure, but you will need to deal with payment at the museum yourself. Also note that tours of the 747 will not be available as they're completely booked out thanks to our group ;)

Shame you can't come up for the Friday drinks or Saturday dinner!

Those going to HARS on the AFF bus, do any of you play golf?
There may be some golf balls to give away but I don't want to carry them from ADL if there are no golfers.

 You have been walked!? What was the reason?

Which Novotel?

Well, there goes my neighbors ...
Explanation is that they do not have council permission to open yet. The whole episode was a great lesson on what not to expect from bookings dot com

Novotel at Sydney International. Totally inconvenient.

I liked the renovated rooms at the Novotel Sydney Airport which was the hotel I used to stay at when we were flying to Los Angeles in the eighties and nineties when it was a Hilton.
You will be able to tell us what you think of the place when we see you guys at the AFF Gathering.
I thought I copped a bed bug bite at the other Sydney Airport hotel but it may have been on the plane to the US so I never reported it.

Pity I already cancelled my Pullman booking in the city, you could have had it....
