Hi all,

What would your decision be? With 160k-odd Honours points to burn on upcoming trip, as a Diamond HHonors member:

  • Conrad Hong Kong 2 x nights = 160k points. Cost of same nights without using points = $975
  • Hilton Tokyo 4 x nights = 240k (would need to supplement by utilising 100% point purchase promo, or transferring MR rewards points, probably added cost of ~$500, therefore ~ $125 per night...). Cost of same nights without using points $1295.

Really love your insight into what you choose to do with your points in the same situation and which scenario you see as better value (but please no one mention the HHonors Diamond free night we will miss in Tokyo- we definitely only have 4 nights to spare and I'm trying not to think about it!).

Cheers,
V.
