Advice needed urgently re med situation in Sing

But if QF numbers added to the QF38 booking and boarding passes kept @serfty then points/SC's should be awarded regardless of who paid?
Give it a try @DontGetMeStarted ?

Years ago, we won a trip, T&C's stated no points/status , but our QF # were added and bingo points and SC's.
More like "could" be awarded. Depend on many factors.

In any case while likely not even close to a refund it would be worth a try.

I actually received the points and status credits for the flight

Well ….on arrival at Singapore Airport with an escort from the hotel, i asked about the wheelchair and showed the fit to fly letter and a guy appeared and we had to go through everything again, he wanted to see all paperwork, medication charts etc and phoned a dr somewhere in the airport. I thought they were going to deny us boarding, but after lots of questions they allowed through. Wheelchair assistance was great to the lounge and then collected again for QF38. I don’t know what happened with the arrival at Melbourne we seemed to be at Jetstar Terminal 4…crew advised there was no air bridge so pax would need to use stairs and meet bus to Terminal 1……..they arranged a scissor lift for us ! So it was quite the ending to our trip. Slept 14 hours and took my husband to Dr today for check up vitals good, but very weak.and lung function test and other specialist tomorrow and Thursday
Delighted to hear you're safely home. Wishing your husband a safe and swift recuperation.
Make sure you look after yourself, too, after all of that. ❤️

Glad to hear you both are home and settled in. Nothing like being home after such an ordeal.
Wishing your husband a good recovery and for you some time to relax and breathe.🩷

Do let us know if your claim is ultimately fullyapproved. TI might provide flights on a no admission basis and the rest of your expense will still need to be approved.

I once bought TI for someone who is 81 years old to go to Europe for 3 weeks, the premium is over $3,500 so you would have paid a lot for the coverage, which I think worked out in your case.

Hello, yes the TI was finally approved on the Friday before we left Singapore. ! All hospital bills covered , I need to put in claims for all other incidentals within 60 days …..hard to know what they will actually cover but have receipts for hotel, food, taxis etc , not sure if food will be covered for me

From my friend's experience they covered everything, cash in hospital, meals, taxis, phone calls etc.
Certainly give it a red hot go @DontGetMeStarted !

No matter how bleak our Melbourne weather is today, bet you are very, very glad to be home 😀

I would claim the accom, taxi, meals, incidentals like extra sim card and laundry expenses after the date you were scheduled to fly out.

Just check your policy PDS
Mine says this

We are so happy to be home. The Mondrian Hotel in Singapore treated us so well, like we were family but it is good to be back in our own home …
