Advice needed urgently re med situation in Sing

Not that you really need my advice, you seem to have your act together regardless of the stress you are under. ❤️

If it were me, focus on the two of you and doing whats best for you and your husbands health and welfare and deal with the rest when things calm down and you have your support network around you.

Just make sure (as you already have been doing), keep TI update date with what do are up to so they can’t claim you acted without their knowledge.

Not sure on the points, I guess that’s to be sorted on our return. Thx for the info re scoot Have be3n looking at JQ too

ScootPlus is comfortable enough, especially if travelling during the day. Seats are like Jetstar Business but without the frills (you only get a single basic meal, no alcohol, no free flow drinks, no IFE). But I'd be taking the 11:05am Scoot flight over Jetstar or especially the 2:30am Scoot departure to avoid overnight travel. Also check out Turkish, they only fly 3 days a week, and sometimes are overlooked.

I looked at Scoot

Booking an extra seat (3 seats for 2 pax) require a call to scoot to make the booking and to ensure the extra seat is linked to the other 2 seats.
It also does not come with luggage allowance despite what I said earlier
As they operate a 787 it would mean something like window seat + middle seat + aisle seat

Thank you, I have managed to stay centred and grounded but enough is enough

Or aisle/,middle/aisle. Looks like over the next week or so they are using the 787-9, which means more ScootPlus seats, but also in economy this aircraft has a few rows of seats with more legroom in the "Scoot in Silence" zone and the first few (centre) rows of the main economy cabin. These seats also have adjustable headrests, so with that and the legroom IMHO worth paying extra for if in economy.

Sure, I just don't like paying for a middle/aisle/aisle where the middle benefits a random passenger in window seat or the aisle passenger on the other side
dajop suggested aisle, middle, aisle in the centre block of three seats

It’s exactly the same was window, middle aisle, except you’re in the middle three seats and no one has to climb out over anyone to get to the aisle.

The 787 is 3-3-3, so a spare seat advantage is not just those seats on the window.

Couple of other points before I try and sleep

I will need wheelchair assistance at Singapore Airport to check in..do Scoot offer that ? I know JQ do. And will need it at Melbourne too until family meet us in arrivals

I am wondering re second hospital admission, will it be treated as a separate claim to the operation and if so will it be covered even though the policy expired on the 16/6
Or
Should it be linked and treated as the one claim. I now have two claim ref numbers

For info, I have also placed a complaint with the TI which is also being investigated but no one has got back to me as yet. I was desperate by myself and no idea what to do, let’s see what happens

Thanks everyone, going to try and sleep now, I really am very appreciative of your support
No more overseas trips for us !

Your policy will be automatically extended until you return home, whatever date that is.

Don’t know how they handle the claim, but other than any excess - if applicable - it shouldn’t make a material difference to the outcome. You’d think they’d wrap it all up in to one file.
