Hi currently in Singapore and husband (83) in hospital taken by ambulance this morning, seems like a gall bladder issue.

I just want to make sure I have covered off on everything. Covermore are the insurance company and they have been notified.

Due to fly back tomorrow on jq8 business to Melbourne and have advised Jetstar on line and spoke with Qantas Singapore who were the only ones available.

Have sent message to Qantas on line too. Have sent an interim copy of from hospital drs to say he is still under investigation as we are not able to fly tomorrow night.

I am feeling a bit vulnerable here by myself and hopefully will know more tomorrow. Best case scenario antibiotics will reduce pain and we can fly in a few days, worse is an op here in Singapore.

Qantas Singapore say I have to let them know by 4pm of new travel arrangements, but I may not know by then ?

The one thing in your favour is that the Singapore health system is excellent and in our experience not as expensive as we feared.
As for the fiighs they are out of your control. The medical decisions will determine those. Just keep your insurance company informed.

Agree with drron.

Don’t worry too much about the flights, the insurance company will take care of any new arrangements, and any cancellation or change fees of the old flights will be taken care of as well. Your insurance should also cover any additional hotel nights you need… just ,et the front desk know you might be staying longer… you don’t want to have to change rooms! (unless you want to move closer to the hospital. If you decide to do that have a chat with your insurance company to let them know and get authorisation for costs etc)
