Advance Seat Selection self destruct

Advance Seat Selection works fine, then, I change the mobile number in the booking, and voila - no longer available for Advance Seat Selection, even if I change it back to the old mobile number it's locked out forever. Wish there would have been some sort of warning.

How far out is the flight? There are times when either the config of the plane operating the flight changes or a certain percentage of seats have been preselected that it licks out advance seat selection, so it may be coincidence that it happened after you made your changes

Actuall, I recall striking just this problem some years ago; changing my contact details in a booking where I had preselected seats zapped my selections and replaced them with some random others. In my case however, I was able to get my original seats back using the online system. I hope this is not some lurking long-term bug...

This shouldn't be the case. Have you discussed this with our Reservations team?

I've had this experience as well - going back a couple of years ago!
