Adding *G number to SQ booking

Unfortuantely I'm having the same issue on a SG reward booking made through Virgin Velocy. The email and VA FF number is showing on the Virgin booking page, but when I use the SG PNR to manage booking on SG - it says I cannot add my frequent flyer without an email address on the account and it won't let me add that.

I tried talking with SG support (chat and call) and they both said there's nothing they can do. :(

As another data point. SQ has the same issue with revenue tickets (in J).

I booked a revenue J fare and later wanted to change from SQ to VA FF number. It can't be done online or by phone or chat. They can only change it from another number to a SQ number.

It can however be done at checkin.

I have had a couple of revenue booking's; neither ever had a KrisFlyer number.

With one I had my Velocity number in from the start.

The other was ticketed with no frequent flyer number and I was able to add my VA number online.
