Re: Accor up to 50% off sale.

Thanks for the info! Booked into the Novotel at BKK for Feb a couple of days ago, for a Single King Room, but just cancelled that, joined A-Club and got a Junior Suite for 15% less! Maybe the Deathstar flight will be forgotten quicker in a suite! :D

Now to see what they can do with my HKG room at Novotel Citygate!

Unfortunately not the Novotel BKK airport :( have a couple overnights there next year

edit: that would be because I am looking the week after the promo ends :(

I booked my accom in China through this - OMG so good!
Makes up for the fact that I had already booked and paid for my Christmas trip (Cairns) as well as all my Fiji Accom. However the 50% off was generally not inclusive of breakfast - so at the super early bird w breakky it came out only marginally more than I could have had without breakky on sale.
I can't wait to stay in the Executive Club floors of the Grand Mercure in Shanghai!! Going to rock!

These sales happen about twice a year in Asia/Asia pacific. I certainly use/abuse them to the max.

Most other hotel chains also come out with sales over Christmas, sometimes it is advertised, sometimes it isn't. All tends to end early Feb when business travel picks up again.

But some good stays can be had. A trend I've noticed is that hotels black out certain dates completely. This is regardless of the normal rate. One could say that this is in breach of the terms of the sale, but I've never chased it.
