Accor Plus Membership Discussion

Thanks for the responses. It never occurred to me to ask at check in. I'll try that next time.

Most major hotel loyalty programs have in the T&C's where late checkout may be a status benefit that the request/requirement¤ for late check out needs to be done at check-in.

¤ For Hilton it is your request (depends upon availability), for Hyatt it is you Requirement (basically guaranteed).

Has anyone dined at the recently opened Hotel Morris and used their Accor Plus dining benefit?

Their sample lunch and dinner menus look pretty good. No dining exception listed on the Accor Plus site from what I can find.

Hello Experts , can I please check if I can carry forward the free accor plus night. We don't have any planned travel to use the benefit and only that I have is from Nov 2nd and my accor plus membership ends on 31st Oct 2023. Don't want to waste the free benefits. Thanks

It won't automatically happen, but you can request an extension. They may or may not grant one.

Quick one - a stay on an Accor Plus rate, naturally booked directly on ALL, and then paid approx 65/35 ALL points and cash... should I not get status points on the ~35% that I paid in cash?

I've always got status points on the cash component (only). What $$$ you pay is what you get. I also burn my points on stays at chains, like Mantra, whose status points earn rate is poor.

Thanks - I'll follow up with ALL. Also planning the same on the burns (Peppers, in particular), however in this instance it was a boys weekend and the mrs didn't want me spending any more 'real money' than I needed to :)

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Yes, the one caveat being that you only earn points on the ex tax cost. When doing a split points/cash payment, the points paid will be allocated to the ex tax component first.

I've been stung by this in 20% VAT countries, where I put 85% of the stay on points, 15% cash, and got no points or (more importantly) status nights as the 15% cash paid was put completely towards taxes

If you're doing a 65/35 split you would get the status nights, but it's something to keep in mind if you're ever putting mainly points towards a stay. In Australia you could expect to earn points on the 25% of the total stay cost. (35% cash component - 10% GST from the entire stay price)

I have been emailing Accor trying to chase up my 20 bonus nights for renewing my membership. I have sent 3 emails on separate occasions. The first 2 to the Accor contact us, they send back an email to say they have forwarded my email on the the relevant department. I then never hear anything else, I also quote the email I originally received about this promo.

Next I sent an email to the Asia/pacific people, no response at all.

Can I ask when you chase up things do you email and if so what address? Or do you phone? If so what number do you use.

I need the bonus nights to get me to the next status. Feeling frustrated, any thought’s appreciated.

I signed up to ALL PLUS Voyageur and ALL PLUS Ibis two days ago hoping the bonus status nights (30 to reach Gold) would be credited for a long upcoming stay in the next few days.

I called the Accor Plus support number at +61 2 8278 4189.

I asked the agent whether the bonus status night could be credited in advance given my circumstances. They advised that the status nights would be delivered in 20 days and it's an automatic process within the system and he had no control over it.

I hope you have better luck than I did Ellen!

I didn't think it was possible to hold both and stack benefits. Please report back if this ends up working out as I thought the 3 different paid programs were mutually exclusive.

The two ALL plus can be on one account. The Accor Plus hasn't been able to be on the same account.

Thanks I didnt read the original post closely enough.

It would be great to be able to stack Accor Plus which is only useful in Asia Pac (and not even all of the pacific since its excludes North, Central and South America which all have pacific coastlines) with the ALL PLUS Voyager so could use that in EU and Americas.

But if had to be separate accounts not worth it as most stays are in Aus and NZ.

I'm somewhat hoping that when Accor Plus gets rebranded into the All Plus family, they'll deal with the limitation of Accor Plus being the limiting factor in combining memberships.

If you have Accor Plus , we might not be able to subscribe to the other two. Atleast that was my experience when I tried to subscribe to ALL PLUS Voyageur and ALL PLUS Ibis.
